Four great reasons to come to San Diego!

We worked hard to bring you four outstanding talents as our Guests of Honor. Each is special in their field and they all are looking forward to making Conzilla a well-rounded convention.

Guest of HonorWalter Jon Williams is a "science fiction and fantasy writer, scuba fiend, kenpo maven, and fantasy iron chef." He lives with his wife Kathleen Hedges on an old Spanish land grant in the high desert of New Mexico, and is the author of nineteen novels and two collections of shorter works. After an early career as a historical novelist, he switched to science fiction. His first novel to attract serious public attention was Hardwired (1986), described by Roger Zelazny as "a tough, sleek juggernaut of a story, punctuated by strobe–light movements, coursing to the wail of jets and the twang of steel guitars." In 2001 he won a Nebula Award for his novelette, "Daddy's World."

He has also worked as a conceptual illustrator for movies and thrill rides. Of late, Bob has worked doing more private commissions and self commissioned work. He has been elected as a Fellow of The International Association of Astronomical Artists (FIAAA), and is a Fellow of The New England Science Fiction Association (NESFA). His work has appeared on professional publications and books in the world of SF, Fantasy & Horror across the world.
